Cashier told me “you can’t get these bro” and I panicked for a second

I’m 18 and this was literally my first time ever buying condoms. I went to my local convenience store and got what I needed along with a snack to make it less awkward.

I’m on the phone with someone at the same time, trying to act normal, when the cashier looks at what I’m holding and goes:
“You can’t get these bro.”

I literally pause like “uh… why?” while still on the phone.

Then he points at me holding them and says something like it’s because they’re “too big. for you”

Then he laughs and goes “I’m just playing with you,” and I was like bro. He bagged everything up and ended it with a “you have a great night bro!”

Even though it was awkward at first he actually did make it less awkward and made me just laugh. It was a funny experience and I’ll definitely probably remember this as it was also my first time buying them. 😭
