It was very abrupt-we were chatting on discord then she just suddenly said, “I’m pan.” We talked about it for a bit, I asked her what pronouns I should use, if she was actually serious (I was in disbelief at first), that kind of stuff. Then I asked if anyone else knew-she said this: “no, not even my sister.” That didn’t help-I just became even more shocked. Why would she tell me that before her own family? Then something clicked in my mind: That’s how much she trusted me.
She trusted me so much that she came out to me before coming out to her own family-that level of trust is definitely unexpected. I’m still in disbelief now, but at least it had a happy ending.
Edit: I successfully trolled her, I said “I’m lgbtq+ as well, thought I’d tell you since you told me-I’m cisgender.”
She didn’t know what cisgender meant but then I told her it pretty much just meant straight! 🤣🤣
Edit 2: to all those people saying I should break up, here’s a clarification: she told me she’d been a pan 🍳🍳🍳 since before we started dating
