Demanding a table that was already reserved, talking down to waitresses, trying to be funny but really just being a jerk. This is done to maintain track of taxes paid by people as well as revenue leakages. The possession of a PAN identifies the person as a taxpayer in Nepal. It is free of charge and cannot be altered or renewed once given. Although many paid workers already have their PAN cards, some newly salaried workers may still be confused about the PAN registration process in Nepal.
The method was followed.
Let us remind those who are still unsure about the procedure and where and how to apply for a PAN that you are only a few steps away from registering and receiving a PAN. To obtain a PAN in Nepal, follow these instructions:
1. First, go to the Inland Revenue Department's (IRD) website and click on the 'Services' page, then on the 'Tax-Payer Portal' link.
2. Next, under the ‘Online E-services' area on the left, pick the ‘Registration (PAN, VAT, EXCISE)' link. While doing so, extend the vertical menu by clicking on the ‘+' sign on the same tab.
3.Now, find and click on the ‘Application for Registration’ tab.
4. After this, a registration form on the main screen will appear. Now, fill the asked information, and in the ‘Verifying Offices’ section, choose the IRD office located near your area.
5. Now, click on the ‘OK’ button and a submission number will be given to you. Note it down.
6. Once you have noted your submission number, Press on ‘Continue’ button.
7. Finally, the PAN application e-form will appear on the screen. Fill the form thoroughly in the Nepali language (Nepali Unicode) and also upload your photo and documents asked.
8. After you are done with filling the form, click on the ‘Save’ button. If you have to change or edit any information or details filled in the form, you can log in with registration details again. For this, you need your username, password, and submission number.
9. Then, click on the ‘Submit’ button and also do not forget to click on the ‘Print’ button.
10. After you have the printed copy of the submitted PAN application form, visit the IRD office located in your area along with a copy of the applicant’s citizenship certificate, two passport size photos, and any authentic identification document or citizenship certificate in case of foreigners.
11.There, submit your application form.
12. Then, the IRD office will verify your details and provide you with a PAN card. Generally, it will take some minutes to a few hours, depending on the number of applicants, to get your personal account number.
